Regular price $580.00Growing up on the east coast near the Susquehanna River, my favorite part of summer was all of it at once, the dragonflies, fireflies, butterflies, and cattails. We don't get much of that in Colorado. The dragonflies are the exception, though ours are the translucent blue and green kind.
For Crimson Oasis I wanted to show a less common one, a red dragonfly whose wing tips go translucent and pick up the color of wherever it lands.
Each part of the dragonfly, the water lily, and the lily pad is hand cut, shaped, and painted. The frame is Wenge, hand sanded and finished with Sam Maloof oil.
