A local shop had just begun carrying them and I grabbed a pair right before a trip down the California coast in 2022, our first time at the beach in years. Watching the water break over the rocks and shoreline the whole drive, I knew by the flight home exactly what those burls were going to become.
This one runs deep emerald green, which is where the name comes from, an old word for exactly that color. One of a kind, like each of these, with its own hue and character.
Epoxy and wood burl. These are some of my favorite pieces to make, and I hope this one lands with you the way it does with me.
